How We Can Make Skinner a Place Where Teachers Want to Come Every Day

When we come to Skinner we can make the teachers feel overwhelmed and maybe want to quit their jobs. If a teacher quits her/his job, it can lead to various things like the class not being offered at Skinner anymore and can affect education to certain kids. I interviewed 5 teachers to see what we need to work on to make Skinner a place that teachers want to come to every day. Waking up early in the morning for seven hours of school can make kids mad, and teachers have the hassle of dealing with them.  As a student I can relate, but this is not an excuse to give your teachers a hard time just because of you having to wake up  earlier in the day. Teachers give us nothing but help and kindness and the only time a teacher will be mean or raise her voice is when a student is messing around and not paying attention. If you are being disrespectful the teacher is going to be disrespectful back to you and the students in the class at the moment.

1. Ms. Sella

Students need to have more probe in what they are doing, even though it might not be the funnest it takes a lot of time to work on

When kids pick on others who are different in culture, religion, holidays,

Kids should stop talking things about people and keep it in their heads

Kids should be more wise of their time in class

We need to make teachers have a less tiring job

People need to be comfortable with teachers because they are here for us and not just to stand by

We need to be better at behavior shifts in school and off campus

Kid shave a place where they can go if from another country with religion ETC

2. Ms. Robinson

How students need to be grateful and think about it

People need to think about that people are human and need to be more respectful

Teachers need to ejcete what students what it is so bad to do this things to other people

Kids need to take more accountability in what they have

Kids need to have better thoughts on what to do and what not to do in class

3. Mr. Martin

When students are making bad choices

Kids being mean lack of kindness

Why are people making these choices

People have not been treated with expectations

Kids need to be better with handling emotions.

When I line these up, I see that we need to work on our behavior and how we participate in class.
